Lainey Wilson prepared to perform for a sold-out crowd at Billy Bob’s Texas. But she faced a challenge when lightning struck some of the iconic venue’s sound equipment.

Lainey Wilson faced a series of challenges with weather and tech issues this year, but she kept delivering unforgettable performances. After lightning struck her gear at Billy Bob’s Texas in September, she grabbed a megaphone to keep singing and even had a crew member hold it while she played guitar. When the megaphone didn’t quite do the trick, she shifted gears, covering Keith Whitley’s “When You Say Nothing At All” and inviting Randy Travis onstage for a surprise appearance. Despite the tech issues, the power outage didn’t last long, and Wilson’s resilience made the show even more memorable.
@mandycollura5When Texas has been in a 5 month drought and @Lainey Wilson comes to town and not only brings the rain she knocks the power out!!
